Caldie Design Terms & Conditions of Sale
HAND MADE ORDERS
All orders are individually handmade for you – this is what Caldie Design customers particularly like about our jewellery. The photos in the on-line shop are indicative of the item you will receive - the actual beads used in your jewellery will be the same colour mix, but may not be identical. In particular, items containing mixed beads (such as – but not limited to - the Mixed Bead Charm Pendant and Purple/Silver Bracelet) will not be identical to the photos. In many instances, this means that you will receive a unique piece of jewellery.
In addition, as you have to include a wrist measurement when ordering bracelets, the actual number of beads and design of beads towards the two ends of the bracelet will vary depending on the length of your bracelet.
Every effort will be made to make up your jewellery as soon as your order is received, however you should allow up to seven days before the item is posted to you. Once your order has been posted, Caldie Design is not responsible for delivery times. In the unlikely event that your order is predicted to take longer than seven days to make & post to you, you will be advised by email at the earliest possible opportunity.
POSTAGE, PACKAGING & DELIVERY
At present, Caldie Design can only accept orders received from, and going to, a UK address.
Packaging/First Class postage is £2.00 per order, however this does not provide compensation in the event of non-delivery of your order. The only method of postage that provides insurance for jewellery is Special Next Day Delivery.
Packaging/Special Next Day Delivery is £5 per order. If your order is valuable, or you require your order quickly, this is the recommended method of delivery. A signature will be required when your order is delivered. If the package is damaged, please indicate this to the person making the delivery as the damage will need to be noted.
Once your order has been posted, Caldie Design is not responsible for actual delivery of your jewellery and cannot be held responsible for delays due to, for example, Royal Mail strikes. We obtain a Proof of Postage Certificate for each order we post. Special Next Day Delivery is recommended for insuring your order as compensation will not be available from Caldie Design for non-delivery of an uninsured order.
Each item you order will be tissue wrapped and carefully packed in a protective/padded envelope.
URGENT ORDERS
If your order is urgent, please indicate this in the ‘notes’ box on your order form and we will do our utmost to work within your time frame, but cannot guarantee a delivery date. Please do not use this option as a matter of course - if everyone’s order is marked as urgent, it will hold up the really urgent ones! For a quicker delivery, you may also wish to consider the option of Special Next Day Delivery.
AVAILABILITY
Caldie Design will endeavour to keep the on line shop up to date, in particular removing items that are no longer available. However, in the likely event if you order an item that is no longer available, you will receive a full refund.
PAYMENT
Payment can only be accepted via Paypal, you do not have to be a member of Paypal to use this facility, as you can use your credit/debit card without having a Paypal account. If you would prefer to pay by cheque, please email clare@caldiedesign.co.uk for details. Your order will not be posted until your cheque has cleared.

GIFT VOUCHERS
At present, gift vouchers cannot be used in the on-line shop.
RETURNS
We hope you are delighted with your order, but in the event you are not, please email clare@caldiedesign.co.uk with full details within 7 days of receipt of your order. As each order is hand made for you, the quality control is very high at Caldie Design. Please remember, you will not necessarily receive an absolute replica of the item you see in the on line shop (see Hand Made Orders above). If your order has been damaged in transit, please retain all packaging.
SHUT-DOWN @ CALDIE DESIGN
Believe it or not, there are times when we want to take a well-deserved break from jewellery making - a notice will be placed on the website with shut-down dates at Caldie Design. You may still place orders during this time but they will not be dealt with until Caldie Design opens again. This will mean your order will not be posted until for up to seven days after Caldie Design re-opens. Therefore, if you require your order by a particular date (ie for a present, or for a special occasion) please ensure you are aware of shut-down times.
